Nature Club in Sree Narayana Guru College of Commerce was started in the year 2024 in the presence of Honourable President M.I Damodharan and I/C Principal Dr. Jayashree Venkitachalam in order to raise awareness among the students, faculty and staff about nature and related issues , to promote conservation efforts .
It is said that nature is the best teacher. It teaches us to survive and to nourish in all aspect. Nature has endowed us with incredible assets like biodiversity and natural resources. This has brought an initiative of spreading environmental education among students.
OBJECTIVES:
- To sensitize , motivate and educate students and staff about environmental conservation
- To create awareness among society about environment and related issues
- Organizing activities to reduce pollution in the district
- Encouraging efforts to protect and conserve biodiversity in vicinage
- Executing small scale projects within the campus
- Contributing in environment awareness and conservation drives in collaboration with regional nature club’s and institutes.
